Your CDCP visit at Tareen Dental
Let our team know that you have CDCP coverage when arranging your appointment. Bring your member information and coverage details to the visit, along with your medication list and any questions you would like to discuss. Ask the office how to provide information securely; please do not send your Social Insurance Number or tax documents through our website contact form.
You can apply for CDCP through the official government service linked below. Before your dental visit, please check your coverage details so we can discuss what may be included. Your dentist will assess your needs, and you can discuss the proposed care and any expected costs before proceeding.

Who can apply?
The current eligibility requirements include no access to private dental insurance, filing the required Canadian tax returns, adjusted family net income below $90,000 and Canadian residency for tax purposes. All requirements must be met; income alone does not establish eligibility.
Check the official CDCP eligibility requirements and exceptions. The government reviews applications and confirms eligibility. People of all language backgrounds can apply.
Understanding Your Coverage and Costs
CDCP may pay a portion of eligible dental care. Depending on your circumstances, you may owe a co-payment, a difference between the provider's fee and the amount reimbursed, or the cost of a service the plan does not cover. A zero co-payment rate does not necessarily mean there are no additional charges.
Coverage rules and frequency limits apply. Some treatments need preauthorization, and approval is not guaranteed. Our team can help you understand the expected amount you would pay before you decide on treatment, including any fees or services outside your coverage.
Understand the care being discussed
Explore our dental cleaning information, filling education video and root canal information before a visit. These resources can help you understand the treatment being discussed. Your individual benefits can be checked separately before you decide on care.
Our Patient Educational Videos can help you prepare questions. A treatment recommendation and a coverage decision are separate matters.
Apply or check your coverage
Use the official CDCP application page for current instructions and government contact options. Applications are open for the 2026-2027 benefit year. Check your official account or correspondence for your coverage start date and renewal information.
Please check the start date in your official coverage confirmation before your appointment. For application or renewal questions, the government service linked above has the current guidance.
